Whiteway, Acting Corporate Services Director, presented Committee with an update on the current and projected activities planned throughout the service area: Assessment & Taxation - Reminder to property owners that property taxes are due on or before August 31. Finance - The mid-year capital progress update is planned for the next Committee meeting. This will provide Committee and the public with an update on the City's significant capital projects, as well as bring forward a few emerging projects for approval. The Q2 financial update is being finalized and will be brought to Committee August 31. Procurement - Administration is working with departments to prepare for the mid-year capital report. ITS - The CityView Permit and Inspections Portal went live on July 27. This allows users to review permit application status, view their documents, see the fees, upload documents, schedule inspections, etc. Communications & Marketing - The August Capital Project Highlights map will be released on City social media this week and the Capital Projects Story Map has also been updated with latest progress photos. Administration is working with Finance to promote a budget engagement stakeholder session with Grande Prairie youth ages 14-24 occurring on August 11. Youth ages 14-24 are encouraged to attend to learn more about the budgeting process and to provide feedback. Additional public engagement sessions are being planned for the fall.
